Lunchtime Conversations in 2012:

Darc space hosts a monthly lunchtime discussion chaired by an invited guest based on a topic of their choosing. These are very popular events, at which free lunch is supplied by sponsorship organised by darc space with the guest speaker

12.01.2012 - Architecture and Photography.
Leading architectural photographers Alice Clancy, Ros Kavanagh and Paul Tierney led the conversation on how they work and the way in which photographs can capture the essence and experience of a building.

16.02.2012 - Aspects of Urbanization in China
Dr. Gregory Bracken is an Irish expert in Asian studies, studio master at the Technical University of Delft’s Architecture Faculty and a Research Fellow at the International Institute for Asian Studies at Leiden University. He led a conversation based on his new book, which will be published in 2012 by Amsterdam University Press.

Does Dublin need a Chinatown was the theme of this inaugural lecture and the panel discussion that followed. Panel members included the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Andrew Montague, Ali Grehan, Dublin City Architect and Pauline Byrne Planner and Urabn Designer with Brady Shipman Martin.
